KUNG FUEY - TV 'Mobisodes'

Hey everyone,

There are a few developments at the moment within the club. Aside from our exciting short films over the coming months, we've secured a project that is quite interesting...

KUNG FUEY:

We need a crew of Writers, Editors, Sound Engineers and animators (colour-grading experience) for a series of 3 x 3 minute 'mobisodes' - mobile TV episodes. The footage will be taken from existing 70's Hong Kong Kung-Fu films (features) and re-written according to a comic-book aesthetic. These 'mobisodes' will then be taken back to Hong Kong/India and sold for a fee where we could then develop the narrative into another 7 mobisodes.

Cheers guys,

Dendy FIlms Media Release

Hey Guys,

Dendy want to give us 5 double passes for the premiere of a documentary series that's been going on for the last 49 years. Here's the press release:

“Give me the child until he is seven and I will show you the man”
A Jesuit maxim

You’ve watched them grow up, from rambunctious 7-year-olds to 40-something
adults. What began in 1964 has turned into a lifelong chronicle and one of the
most unusual real-life narratives in film history.

Roger Ebert calls it “Possibly the most exciting use of the documentary medium
ever!".

Forty-two years ago a group of seven year old children were interviewed for a
program called 7 Up, conceived to test the accuracy of the Jesuit saying “give
me the child until he is seven and I will show you the man”. Director Michael
Apted, who has since moved to Hollywood to direct films including Gorky Park,
The Coal Miner’s Daughter, The World Is Not Enough and Gorillas in the Mist, has
returned every seven years to chart the children’s progress through life.

49 Up visits the group of people whose lives have been documented since they
were seven, to see where they are now as they approach their half century. This
groundbreaking documentary series has become one of the most acclaimed long-term
filmic studies of real people ever made. In 49 Up more life-changing decisions
are revealed, more shocking announcements made and more of the original group
are taking part than ever before.

Releasing in cinemas August 3. Production notes and images can be downloaded
from the Dendy Films media room - www.dendyfilms.com.au/mediaroom.
