This weekend CiNEsoc is running a series of workshops on filmmaking:
Saturday 20th May 9am-5:30pm: Cinematography and Editing. UNSW Students $15/Guests $20. Cinematography in Quadrangle building room G026, editing in Robert Webster building media labs.
Sunday 21st May 9am-5pm: Writing, Producing and Directing. UNSW Students $10/Guests $15. Quadrangle building room G026.

Combined UNSW/NIDA Cinematography Project
Hey guys,
We received this information from Maria Fernandez in regards to finding latter-year Cinematography students. The message is as follows:
We're looking for any later year cinematography students interested in participating in a short film written/directed/co-produced by a talented young UNSW/NIDA student (and mentored by a renknowned Sydney theatre director).
The docu-drama explores issues of racism and immigration in Sydney and, through a blend of fact and fiction, focuses on government attitudes and policies and their implications. The main sequence is fictional and examines attitudes towards immigrants and the potential for change.
It's an excellent opportunity to work with a number of passionate and talented individuals (with a sense of humour!), to participate in a project dealing with some issues which have enormous significance for Australia; as well as gaining some experience and adding to your portfolio.... But please - only people with a
professional attitude should respond.
Filming will be over 2-3 weekends, and will start ASAP.

Hey all! We're gonna need a few more extras this Saturday on the 6th May at arond 11am. The location will be the Central Lecture Block at UNSW. Drag your friends down for a good cause! Enjoy the pics in the meantime.
Extras Required for THIS Saturday, 6th May
Hi all!!
We need extras. We need LOTS of extras. We're local this time, so if travelling to Ryde aint up your alley, you needn't worry :) We're shooting in the UNSW Central Lecture Block (CLB) from 9am, but we'll need YOU guys there from 10am.
We'll be in CLB 7 - which is on the second floor - so if you can make it, please come down. The scene we're shooting is obviously a lecture scene for "Twenty Two", so come dressed in what you normally would for uni.
